Officer kills one dog to save another


A police officer in Spartanburg shot and killed a dog to save the life of another dog outside a home on Fulton Avenue Saturday morning.

According to a Spartanburg Police Department incident report, the officer responded to a vicious dog report at 764 Fulton Ave. where a pit bull had attacked another pit bull and was biting at its neck and mouth. Several people were observing the attack and told the officer they were not able to separate the two.
