Two children wounded in dog attack


Two Muncie sisters, ages 10 and 9, were taken by ambulance to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital on Monday night after they were reportedly attacked by a neighbor’s dog.

The children’s wounds were not described in a police report.

A witness told police she saw the dog — a chow mix named Jake — “bust out of his kennel and run through the unlatched fence” and into the girls’ family’s backyard, where the attack took place.
