A DOG owner has issued a warning to others after his ridgeback cross was attacked and severely injured by another dog in Bishop’s Stortford.
Vets said that a dog smaller than Rosie, a three-year-old who weighs the best part of 100lbs, might not have survived the attack.
The incident happened at around 6pm last Wednesday (June 11), on a popular path for dog walkers between Pig Lane and the level crossing at Twyford Industrial Estate.
Rosie had been walking for about an hour at that time and was heading back to her owner’s car.
“It was a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. It just came charging out of the bushes with no warning,” said Rosie’s owner.
