Progress after a dog bite, victim’s family upset over attention – FOX 10 News | myfoxphoenix.com

A pit bull named Mickey mauled a young Phoenix boy’s face in February. International support saved him from being put down, and now his attorney wants to install a 24-hour camera for those supporters to see him in his cell at all times.

But through all this we can never forget the little boy, Kevin, who was forever affected by the mauling. His recovery has come a long way, but he’s still got a long way to go.

Flor Vicente says she gave up her job to care for her son full-time. She is astonished at the amount of support for the dog while her son continues to suffer.

Four-year-old Kevin Vicente hid his face under a blanket, ashamed of the scars marking the right side of his face, during the interview with FOX 10. He still cannot see out of his right eye.
