Dangerous Dog, Jackson Drive: Police issued a dangerous dog citation on June 11 to the owner of a repeat offender, after the pit bull mix broke off its chain while lunging at a woman walking her dog down the street. The woman kicked at the attacking dog until it retreated to its house, at which point the owner came out and took control of the pit mix.

The woman and her dog were not seriously injured, but officer noted that the pit mix continued to be very aggressive, requiring two people to hold it back as it kept lunging at him as well. There was also an earlier incident in 2012 where the same dog attacked a jogger going past, leading to the citation being issued.
