Suspended prison term after woman brings out of control dog into maternity unit’s reception | Nottingham Post

JANE Raspin, 56, of Tring Vale, Basford, admitted owning a dangerous dog out of control in the City Hospital maternity unit reception.

The dog injured a person on August 21 last year. Raspin was given a four-month sentence, suspended for 12 months, by Nottingham magistrates. The court heard she was negligent controlling the dog.

Raspin will now be supervised by the probation service for 12 months and must do 80 hours’ unpaid work. She was ordered to pay £1,500 compensation and costs of £85. She will not pay a victim surcharge as priority was given to the compensation.
