Police need your help after an 8-year-old child was severely injured following a dog attack. Police haven’t found the dog responsible, nor do they have much information about it.
Police say the child was playing in the parking lot of her apartment complex on the 500-block of Lamont Drive last Thursday when the attack happened. The girl was taken to the hospital with serious injuries to her nose and mouth. Although she wasn’t able to tell officers much, she said it was a medium size dog with white on it.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen anything or a dog matching that description in the area on Thursday to call Kettering’s Animal Resource Officer at 296-3266.
Officials say the girl will need surgery to repair the damage to her face.
