A pit bull was tranquilized and taken into possession by animal control after it attacked a Jonesville women and killed her dog on Monday.
According to an incident report from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Joyce Rhoden, of 1732 West Springs Highway, was walking her black and white Chihuahua when a neighbor’s pit bull attacked both of them.
The pit bull was later seen by officers, and it appeared to be holding the dead Chihuahua in its mouth.
