Dog Muzzled After Attack On Visitor | Scilly Today

A visitors’ dog has attacked a holidaymaker and will need to be muzzled for the rest of the owner’s stay here.

On Sunday afternoon a man was bitten on the hand while sitting outside the Turks Head on St Agnes.

He sustained a deep wound and was taken to St Mary’s for medical attention by two locals in their boat.

The bite was reported to the police by the victim after he received treatment.

Sgt Taylor says the matter would be dealt with under the Dangerous Dogs Act.

The injured man agreed that muzzling the dog was appropriate. A restraint has been loaned by Pam Manning’s Creature Comfort service.
