Dog Attacks Four-Year-Old Boy In Bournemouth Park – Heart Dorset News

Police are looking for the owner of a dog that attacked a 4-year-old boy in Bournemouth.

It happened at around 4pm on Friday 27 June 2014 in King’s Park.

The boy was riding his scooter through the park with his mother when a small black dog which was not on a lead bit the child in an unprovoked attack.

The owner of the dog made no attempt to help the child or his mother and the boy’s leg was left bruised.

Police Constable Toni Broadbent, of Bournemouth police, said:

“This incident left the victim and his mother very distressed. It was fortunate that the injury was not more serious.

“I am keen to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened or has any more information.

“The owner is described as a white male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and of stocky build. He was wearing a black T-shirt and black trousers.

“All calls are treated in the strictest confidence.”
