AN ABERDEEN woman today hit out at irresponsible dog owners after her pet terrier was attacked on a city golf course.
Katrina Simpson was walking her three-year-old Yorkshire terrier Lucky at Auchmill golf course when her pet was attacked by another dog.
Now mum-of-three Katrina is calling for city authorities to tighten up rules on dog-walking at leisure sites for fear a youngster could be wounded by an out-of-control animal.
Katrina, 36, of Northfield, said: “Lucky was on his lead and this Husky wolf-type dog came towards us.
“His owner was not with him and he was not on a lead.
“Because I didn’t know the nature of the dog I tried to pick Lucky up and that is when this dog attacked my dog.”
Lucky was treated by a vet and needed antibiotics and painkillers for his wound.
