Bluefield teenager transported to BRMC after suffering pit bull bite » Local News » Bluefield Daily Telegraph, Bluefield, WV

A Mercer County teenager was transported to Bluefield Regional Medical Center Saturday afternoon after a pit bull dog bit through her left foot.

The 17-year-old female was riding a scooter on Walters Avenue in Bluefield, when the dog ran out into the street and bit through the girl’s foot, according to an adult male who identified himself as the victim’s father.

Detective K.L. Adams of the Bluefield Police Department, Bluefield Animal Control Officer Randall Thompspn and paramedics with the Bluefield Rescue Squad responded to the scene.
