Woman seriously injured by pit bull bite | The Columbian

A 64-year-old woman was seriously injured Thursday morning when she tried to break up a fight between her two pit bulls, according to Clark County Fire & Rescue spokesman Tim Dawdy.

Firefighters from the agency responded to the residence, 37404 N.W. 31st Ave., northwest of La Center, for the dog bite reported at 10:24 a.m.

First responders arrived and found the woman suffering from serious injuries from being bitten on her arm by at least one dog, Dawdy said. Her injuries were described as not life threatening.

American Medical Response transported the woman to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center.

The dogs were surrendered to Clark County Animal Control where they will be quarantined, Dawdy said.

Clark County sheriff’s deputies also responded.
