Police asking for help after dog attack | KIMT 3

Police in southern Minnesota need your help in finding a dog owner who was involved in a dog attack.

Rochester authorities say the incident happened last Thursday in the 1700 block of 2nd Avenue Southwest. They believe a male in his middle 40’s, around 6’2 or 6’3 with a muscular build and long dark wavy hair was walking his two dogs down the sidewalk. One of the dogs is describe as large and white, the other is a smaller Jack Russell Terrier. Police say the larger of the two dogs then attacked another, causing enough injuries to require surgery. A woman who owned the attacked dog tried to break up the fighting when she received several scratches and puncture wounds from the animal.

Authorities say the owner was not corporative with the woman and they are asking for the public’s help in finding the owner. If you have any information, please contact law enforcement.
