Two people suffered severe lacerations after they were attacked by a pit bull at a residence on Hill Street early Sunday morning. The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office was called to respond to a report of a domestic disturbance involving teenagers at an apartment in the 300 block of Hill Street at about 2:55 a.m. Before police arrived, additional 911 calls reported two people were being mauled in a dog attack. Bardstown Police also responded to the report. The dog was shot and killed on the scene. Nelson County EMS transported an injured male and a younger female suffering from dog bites from the scene to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.
