West Lake Hills officers were able to catch the infamous feral male pitbull which has been roaming the neighborhood for nearly a year, they said.
Police trapped the pitbull Thursday night on Las Brisas Street, Mayor Dave Claunch said.
Most recently on Westlake Drive Aug. 15, a male pit bull reportedly picked up a Jack Russell terrier by its neck and threw it, and the dog has to receive staples, police said. There is at least one reported incident of the pit bull, which officials believe is the same one, attacking another West Lake Hills resident’s dog.
A Lake Travis police officer, working off-duty, caught a feral female pit bull and its puppies last fall. The officer, Andrea Grieg, formerly worked for the West Lake Hills Police Department.
