It’s still unknown who owns the two pit bulls responsible for attacking a woman severely in Beacon Hill Wednesday.
We went to Seattle Animal Shelter Thursday to check on the pit bulls involved in the attack, which left a woman with part of her scalp ripped off. Good Samaritans who tried to help Wednesday were injured by the dogs, as well.
Officials say they still haven’t found an owner for the dogs.
KIRO 7 learned the victim is still at Harbor View Medical Center.
A police report we obtained says she had just dropped off her child at school Wednesday morning when she was attacked at a nearby bus stop. The pit bulls were on the loose.
“Anything can happen to anyone at any time. Everyone says it will never be me. It’ll never be my child, and then, look at this woman who is still up at Harborview now,” said Don Jordan, director of Seattle Animal Shelter.
He provided us video of the two pit bulls, who are now in quarantine. If an owner doesn’t come forward in 10 days, the dogs will be euthanized.
Jordan says they need the public’s help to find the dogs’ owner, so they can find out if the animals were vaccinated.
