78 Year Old Man Attacked by Pit Bull While Mowing Grass; Transported to St. Vincent Hospital | Hot Springs Daily – News, Events, and Lifestyle for Hot Springs, Ark.

A 78 year old man mowing grass on his riding lawn mower was attacked and pulled off his mower by a pit bull on Monday.

The incident happened at 115 Checotah in Royal.

Jerry Buckner, 21, of Royal was issued a citation for Vicious Animal.  Animal Control also took possession of his dog.

According to the sheriff’s office,  the 78 year old victim was on his riding lawn mower at home cutting grass when a pit bull came from his neighbors and attacked him.

The pit bull then apparently pulled the man off the mower and pinned  him to the ground.

The man was transported to St. Vincent Hospital where he was treated.  There is no current update on his condition.

Puncture wounds were found to the man’s left calf and right arm.
