When emergency crews arrived, the man was treated by paramedics while the dog remained locked inside the home.

Animal welfare officers eventually removed the dog from the home about 2:45 p.m.

Calls to the Oklahoma City animal welfare office to learn the fate of the dog were not immediately returned.
