Raging mum blasts court decision to reprieve dog that scarred daughter in horror attack – Daily Record

An angry mum has hit out at a court’s decision to spare a dog that scarred her daughter in a terrifying attack.

Five-year-old Mackenna Frew suffered a horrific cheek injury when she was ­bitten by an Airedale terrier.

In March, a sheriff ordered the dog to be destroyed following the attack in May last year.

But Mackenna’s mum Kimberley ­Mullin has been left shaken after the dog’s owner, John Johnstone, won an appeal, allowing him to keep the ­animal.

A dog control notice was issued instead, meaning the terrier must wear a muzzle when out in public.
